Would you like to work for a charity that cares for hundreds of historic sites across England? We are seeking a Senior Gardener to join our team at Belsay Hall, Castle, and Gardens, one of our key properties within the English Heritage portfolio.
About Belsay Hall and Gardens
Belsay Hall and Castle attracts around 90,000 visitors annually and features exceptional gardens from the 19th century, including Italian formal gardens, Quarry Gardens, and Rhododendron Gardens. The site has undergone major development with renowned garden designer Dan Pearson, focusing on maintaining and developing its iconic features.

Role Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Head Gardener to maintain high standards in our gardens
* Bring to life the stories told by our gardens, engaging visitors of all ages
* Support with plant record management and basic IT software
* Ensure visitor safety and enhance their experience
* Assist in planning and executing seasonal work plans
About You
You will have excellent horticultural knowledge, a talent for leadership, and the ability to support the garden's story through your work. Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate weekly schedules are essential.
