Senior Compliance/AML Specialist
Location: Edinburgh
Role Overview
This role involves managing a portfolio of clients and supporting them across the full lifecycle of investment structures, from onboarding through to ongoing administration.
You’ll be responsible for client due diligence, investor servicing, handling queries, and supporting the delivery of investor communications. The role also includes reviewing processes to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met.
This is a varied position suited to someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct client due diligence and perform KYC checks on corporate and investor clients
* Review documentation including ownership structures and beneficial ownership information
* Ensure compliance with UK AML and financial crime regulations
* Assess risk profiles and escalate cases requiring enhanced due diligence
* Prepare clear and concise due diligence reports
* Support investor reporting and communications
* Liaise with internal teams such as compliance, legal, and operations
Skills & Experience
* Good understanding of UK AML / financial crime regulations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Familiarity with KYC systems and tools
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
* 3–5 years’ experience in a regulated financial services environment
* Relevant professional qualifications (desirable)
