Vision for Education are recruiting for Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistants for roles in specialist schools and settings on a full-time basis from April 2025 across Lancaster and the surrounding areas.
About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team working with reputable specialist SEND educational schools in Lancaster and nearby areas.
Responsibilities
As an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to the development and wellbeing of students with SEND needs. Your responsibilities include:
* Assisting SEN students in their daily activities, including academic tasks and social integration.
* Collaborating with teachers and professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Supporting students with emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
* Facilitating communication between students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
* Monitoring and recording students' progress and providing feedback.
* Assisting with learning resources and materials.
About The School
We support schools across North Lancashire and South Cumbria, working with SEN and behavioural schools seeking full-time staffing options, including day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles.
Requirements
* Availability 5 days per week during school hours (typically 8:45am-3:15pm).
* Desirable to have transport access.
* Genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and calmness in challenging situations.
* Willingness to learn and develop skills within an SEN environment.
* A supportive, nurturing approach.
* Basic IT skills and adaptability to learning technologies.
All staff will undergo thorough checks, including an Enhanced DBS registration on the Update Service, to ensure safeguarding compliance.

Salary
£400 to £450 per week, dependent on experience and qualifications. Desirable prior experience includes working with children in educational or care settings.
