Are you male teaching assistant experienced in SEMH and SEN, looking for long term role. GSL Education is currently recruiting a Male Teaching Assistant to join one of our client schools in Windsor. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant who has worked with children, young people, or adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN), or in care settings.
The school is seeking a Male Teaching Assistant to support their diverse student population and help create a balanced and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* As a Male Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASC, SEMH, and other additional needs.
* Assist students with emotional and behavioural challenges to enable effective access to the curriculum.
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support individual learning plans.
* At least one year of experience working as a Male Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN support role within schools or care settings.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic attitude towards supporting children with additional needs.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in managing challenging behaviours
