IT Security Engineering Manager (Detection & Automation)The Package:- To circa £105k + 20% bonus scheme + Exc BenefitsLocation :- Hybrid model with 2 - 3 days a week in their Tadworth office
The Role:- An Exciting Cyber Security Engineering Manager opportunity, where 80% of your time will be within a hands-on capacity & 20% on Team Management. You will primarily be focusing on improving the IT Security Detection piece & Automation processes & looking at best practices moving forward. This will in turn, free up time, for your team to focus on Real Time cyber threats, as & when they happen. This is based within Microsoft Technologies, such as Sentinel & MS Defender & KQL, although other technologies will be considered for the right person As such, the role would suit someone, whom is either already within a similar Cyber Security management role or could be in a Team Leader/similar position & ready to step up & take more responsibility. Primarily, it is about being heavily involved in the practical aspect of the day-to-day IT security Operations.
Selection Of Day to Day Duties:-
* Lead and manage a global Security Detection, Automation and Engineering service.
* Manage the development of new security detection use-cases within automation to address emerging threats/vulnerabilities
* Lead and manage a team of 8 global Engineers.
* Own/direct delivery prioritisation, ensuring sprint planning and team output align to the function roadmap, business priorities, and risk based value delivery.
* Influence the security roadmap development that strengthen the function's strategic direction.
* Lead and oversee the maintenance and management of security solutions/services such as with Sentinel, Defender, ServiceNow etc.
What are we looking for:-
* Background in a similar Cyber Security Operations leadership role
* Knowledge of managing and maintaining security tools within a global environment.
* Hands-on Cyber Security Operations in Detection/Automation
* Experience developing detection security use-case (KQL knowledge a bonus but not essential)
* Experience leading SOAR & Automation activities
* Experience working with Microsoft security tools including Sentinel & Defender would be an advantage
