Finance Officer (Part-Time)

A long-established, values-driven community organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to safeguard its finances and support the delivery of vital services for children, families and the wider community.
This is a trusted, hands-on role where your financial expertise will directly support sustainability, growth and positive social impact.
What you'll do
You'll take ownership of day-to-day financial administration while working closely with senior leadership to maintain strong controls and clear reporting.
* Manage bookkeeping, financial records and databases (Xero)
* Prepare budgets, expense reports and financial summaries
* Support payroll preparation, expense claims and invoices
* Monitor project budgets and petty cash
* Maintain financial policies, procedures and compliance
* Support senior managers with financial insight and admin
* Identify efficiencies, manage risk and improve processes
Who this role suits
You're detail-driven, organised and confident managing charity finances. You enjoy working independently, building strong systems and knowing your work helps services thrive.
You'll need:
* Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Bookkeeper or similar
* AAT Level 4 (minimum)
* Strong working knowledge of Xero and MS Office
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Desirable: Charity or community sector experience, business administration qualifications, ongoing CPD.
