Job Summary
Do you want to reach the pinnacle in field service excellence? Do you want to be part of a leading organisation? A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand direct service team. We need 2 experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineers who will be responsible for maintenance, breakdowns and commissioning on all makes of compressed air equipment, including our own centrifugal compressors. Extensive centrifugal training will be given to the successful candidate. This role will cover the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites to perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
- Maintain verbal and written communications with customers, contractors and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Liaise with our technical team and office-based personnel to communicate a clear understanding of specific job requirements, as necessary.
- Build good working relationships with customers to maximise our growth potential.
- Operate in accordance with company Environmental Health and Safety guideline.
Qualifications
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems.
- Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry.
- PC literate, including use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full driving licence.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Field based position, operating from home with requirements to travel in line with the role.
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time within the UK region.
- Must be able to travel overseas for training purposes.
