Staff Nurse - Haematology

A vacancy has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our Haematology Team on Ward 30 at Arrowe Park Hospital. Ward 30 is a 22‑bedded unit which consists of 15 Haematology beds and 8 Supportive Care beds.
There is a Day Unit attached to the ward where patients receive chemotherapy treatment and blood‑product support. All staff rotate through the unit and a Nurse‑led clinic area.
We provide care for patients undergoing treatment for blood cancers and haematology conditions, and we also provide support for patients with complex symptom management under the guidance of our Palliative Care Consultants.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training
 * Evidence of Professional Development
 * Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
 * Experience of maintaining accurate records
 * Relevant clinical knowledge and experience
 * Willing to undertake NMC Assessor and mentorship
 * Relevant Degree or willing to register to work towards a degree
 * Relevant or willingness to undertake a relevant module/course
 * NHS Experience
 * Awareness of Health Policies and the changing NHS environment

 * Awareness of evidence‑based practice
 * Good organisational/time management skills
 * Ability to deal with an acute workload
