Are you a passionate and experienced Science Teacher looking to make a genuine difference in a specialist setting?
We are seeking a committed and nurturing teacher to join a small, highly supportive provision from September. This role is available due to the expansion of the Science timetable alongside internal promotion, offering a fantastic opportunity to shape and grow the subject within a developing setting.
The Role
* Deliver Science across a mixed curriculum (Entry Level to GCSE)
* Teach small classes of up to 9 pupils, supported by additional staff
* Work closely and exclusively with a dedicated consultant throughout the process
* Contribute to curriculum development and forward planning within Science
* Provide a trauma-informed, nurturing learning environment
This is a part-time position (3 days per week), with complete flexibility around which days are worked.
About the Provision
* Small, specialist setting supporting pupils with Autism and SEMH needs
* Strong emphasis on therapeutic, trauma-informed practice
* High staff-to-pupil ratios with excellent classroom support
* Focus on building relationships, engagement, and tailored learning pathways
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Be a qualified and experienced Science Teacher
* Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
* Be confident working with pupils with Autism and SEMH
* Be highly organised and a forward planner
* Have a nurturing, patient and adaptable teaching style
* Ideally have experience in curriculum development
The Process
We are looking to move quickly to secure the right candidate:
* Initial visit to the setting and meeting with the Headteacher (ASAP)
* Formal interview including a lesson observation
