Specialist Palliative Care Team Personal Assistant

The post holder is responsible for providing an efficient personal assistant service to the divisional leadership team, including the Specialist Palliative and End of Life Care team and other clinicians. The role involves maintaining confidentiality, supporting day‑to‑day administrative activities, managing correspondence, and producing accurate data reports.
Responsibilities
* Manage all correspondence, including typing reports, agendas, and minutes of team meetings.
* Arrange meetings, manage room bookings, and prepare required materials.
* Handle post, routine correspondence and follow‑up action as directed by the Head of Nursing and Clinical Lead.
* Respond to queries from external parties, patients, relatives, and other departments, escalating complex issues to the relevant team member.
* Perform general office duties such as photocopying and filing.
* Support quality improvement projects and training programmes, working with the wider team to introduce new ways of working.
* Maintain and update local databases, ensuring accurate processing and recording of clinical activity.
* Provide high‑quality administrative and clerical support to nursing and medical staff, managing patient information and ensuring data quality.
* Record the administration of meetings and educational sessions, book training rooms, and advertise teaching sessions.
* Accurately collect and record data, identifying and correcting errors to maintain high levels of data quality.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience as a personal assistant at a senior level.
* Experience working as part of a team.
* Proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
