People & Operations Lead

PACT Solutions is hiring a People & Operations Lead to help us scale well.
We’re looking for someone who has already done a hands-on operating role in a growing consultancy and can demonstrate that they have helped turn a small founder-led business into a more scalable operation.
This is not a traditional HR admin role, and it is not a purely strategic people role. It is a practical, hands-on operating role spanning people operations, hiring, internal systems, reporting and process improvement.

The role
You will work closely with the directors and senior colleagues to improve how PACT hires, onboards, organises, develops and supports its people. You will also play a central role in improving our internal operational processes and systems.
This role has two equal priorities:
* improving PACT’s approach to hiring, onboarding and people operations
* strengthening the firm’s internal operational processes and systems, including PSA, CRM and DevOps
What you'll be doing
* Leading recruitment delivery across permanent, fixed-term and associate hiring
* Running recruitment activity across LinkedIn, referrals, agencies and other approved channels
* Improving onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
* Supporting review cycles, development processes and role frameworks
* Linking hiring activity to sales pipeline, project demand and resource needs
* Improving reporting, coordination and operational follow-through
* Strengthening how PACT uses its internal systems across PSA, CRM and DevOps
* Documenting, standardising and continuously improving key internal processes
What we're looking for
* Experience in a hands-on people operations, business operations, chief of staff, operations manager or similar operating role in a scaling consultancy or professional services environment
* Clear responsibility for running internal processes and systems, not just recruitment, talent acquisition or business development activity
* Strong preference for candidates who have done a comparable role in an early-stage consultancy and helped scale the business materially
* Strong experience running recruitment processes end to end
* Experience improving internal systems, processes and operating discipline in a fast-moving environment
* Someone highly systematic, organised and delivery-focused
* Someone comfortable being hands-on and personally running important processes
