Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too and would love to hear from you.
The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work – the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of your shift schedule. We are happy to support flexibility if your availability closely matches but does not exactly fit these times. Click here to read more.

As the face of Tesco on the road, we deliver from Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Our Customer Delivery Drivers get to meet and talk to different customers in their homes every day. This role is about more than just driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
This role is hands-on, physical, and full of variety. No two shifts are the same, and our customers seek help in many different ways. Most of the day, you’ll feel like your own boss, delivering to your customers, but you’ll have support from Managers and colleagues back at the base.

Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and organized.
* Leaving the delivery area clean and picking up litter.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van and checking its roadworthiness.
* Discussing order changes with customers, including substitutions and refunds.
* Handling products/deliveries with care.
* Explaining substitution charges to customers.
* Delivering within the scheduled time slot.
* Calling customers if arriving early or late.
Building relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit, creating a positive store environment, and embracing change.
Acting quickly to meet customer needs, sharing ideas for store improvement, and maintaining a valid UK/EU/EEA driving license (full or automatic, at least 12 months, no more than 3 penalty points).
