A full‑time, permanent Scheme Support Officer in a supported housing service, Janner House, Cardiff. You will be required to work on a rolling rota, including days and sleep‑in shifts (additional £62.64 sleep‑in payment).

About The Role
Janner House provides temporary supported accommodation for adults aged 18+ who are motivated to change and willing to engage with solutions‑focused housing support. The service helps people develop skills to prevent homelessness, improve financial capability, and settle in the community, achieving positive progression.
As a Scheme Support Officer, you will assist Project Workers in delivering support to service users working toward realistic goals around independent living, confidence‑building, training, employment opportunities, and overall health and wellbeing. The aim is to help those with prior criminal offences integrate into society.

The role involves complex behaviours and needs, including alcohol misuse, mental health, substance misuse, and anti‑social and offending behaviour. You will work with diverse personalities and adapt your approach accordingly.

Part of the role includes sleep‑in shifts at the scheme, providing a secluded area with a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen facilities.
Previous experience or qualifications are not mandatory; awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness is useful.
