We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller at one of our well-established clients in Blackburn.
Please note this is a permanent placement following 1-week paid trial!
Previous experience in stock control is a must for this role!
Shift times: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday – rotating weekly
Pay rate: £13.26 per hour plus shift allowance (0.92p per hour)
Role will involve but won’t be limited to:
* Key support role to the Management team helping to ensure company and customer deadlines are met
* Book in and control the deliveries and collections of all stock on site
* Control and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring all stock being delivered and collected has the relevant paperwork and is accurately booked onto the relevant system and labelled up as require
* To maintain the Warehouse Management System to achieve high levels of service, and an efficient stock flow through the warehouse
* Ensure physical accuracy of stock held within the warehouse is always maintained.
* Monitor quality control checks within all areas of the warehouse to always ensure stock integrity.
* Assist the stock movement between Both sites and ensure stock is available.
* Develop, control and manage the department and associated stock management functions on site.
* Preparing, conducting and resolving variance investigations of Stock Counts / Uplifts, including validating count data submitted for verification to the mainframe and providing / liaising with External audit departments.
* Dealing directly with the customer to substantiate and resolve stockholding, documentation and supplier issues.
* Advise management of problems which may affect operational performance.
* Identify possible problems and seek solutions that are both cost-effective and timely.
* Compiling and circulating weekly and period reports detailing results and audits conducted.
* Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are met and where possible exceeded, whilst supporting, implementing and introducing innovative ideas and solutions.
* Stock rotation management to minimize product damage and stock loss.
* Provide quality technical support to the operation.
* Support the sites facilities and Health & Safety.
* Monitoring of site supplies and reordering when required.
Successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a strong sense of attention to detail and should have previous experience in a distribution warehouse environment and have a good knowledge of warehouse management systems as well as be PC literate with high standard of Word, Excel and Access.Have the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritise their own workload, and adhere to specified deadlines, willing to support other departments when required and full understanding of PI counting.
