Are you a Civil Engineer passionate about designing roads and drainage systems for development projects? Join our client's dynamic team in Wakefield and work on diverse residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments across the UK, contributing to sustainable infrastructure with high-quality design solutions.
What you'll be doing:
1. Design highways, junctions, and drainage infrastructure using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage.
2. Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for planning and technical approvals.
3. Collaborate with architects, planners, and structural engineers for integrated design solutions.
4. Support planning submissions and technical approvals (Sections 38, 278, and 104).
5. Contribute to flood risk assessments (FRAs) and sustainable drainage (SuDS) strategies.
6. Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients.
7. Mentor junior engineers within the team.
What we're looking for:
1. A degree (BEng, BSc, or MSc) in Civil Engineering.
2. Proven experience in designing roads and drainage for UK development projects.
3. Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and local authority standards.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or InfoDrainage).
5. Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
