About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Sous Chef to join a refined, ingredient-led kitchen set within a beautifully restored 17th-century country property in the Kent countryside. The kitchen operates at a high standard, delivering elegant, seasonal menus in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment.
The restaurant serves breakfast daily, alongside lunch and dinner services throughout the week, with a strong focus on quality produce, thoughtful presentation, and a consistently excellent guest experience.
Working closely with the Head Chef, you will play a key role in shaping the offering and maintaining the high standards expected from a premium dining destination.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in the development of seasonal, modern British menus
Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
Lead kitchen operations in the Head Chefs absence
Ensure smooth, efficient service across all meal periods
Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards
About You
Experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up
Alternatively, a skilled Chef de Partie looking for a new opportunity
Passion for seasonal ingredients and modern British cuisine
Strong leadership and communication skills
Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
A genuine team player with a positive attitude
