Overview
We have an exciting opportunity in our North East Region clinic for a nurse who wants to make a difference in our patients’ lives. The role covers shifts in Darlington, Stockton and North Ormesby. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures with the aim of increasing the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education Academy.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of care programmes for renal patients, following tailored care plans as per Consultant instructions and ensuring clinical activity is documented in the patient medical record.
* Prepare and monitor dialysis machines and systems in line with Diaverum processes.
* Review pre- and post-haemodialysis care with patients; provide emotional support and maintain independence for patients.
* Work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support.
* Administer medications, fluid therapy or other treatments as per Consultant instructions and ensure appropriate documentation.
Requirements
* NMC Registered Nurse
* Aware of and understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
* Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
* Experience as a haemodialysis nurse within the UK
* Positive and dynamic approach to providing safe and effective care; excellent communication skills with fluency in English
