About the Project
This ground-breaking nuclear power plant project in Suffolk will play a vital role in delivering a sustainable future. Backed by EDF and the UK Government, Sizewell C is a once-in-a-generation project with significant opportunities to innovate, grow, and deliver excellence.
The Project Manager reports directly to a Senior Project Manager and is responsible for the direction and leadership of activities associated with the full life cycle delivery of a contract or work package assigned to them.
You\\\'ll be responsible to ensure delivery of all (or part of) the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule. You’ll ensure planning and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the Project.
Some scope of accountability may include the design and delivery of the construction works, site roads, reinforced concrete structures, and more. Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work, including interfaces with other programme elements.
Lead and manage on-site project activities, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and milestones.
Implement best practices in project management to optimize efficiency and quality
Oversee contractor and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project progression.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, major complex projects (value size approx. Experience in managing contractors, consultants, and other advisors throughout large and complex construction projects in a regulated environment, including NEC or FIDIC contracts.
Significant experience in the development of programmes and resource management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (Sizewell C has many internal and external stakeholders and interested parties with whom we must effectively engage and coordinate using positive dialogue).
Intellectual capacity to deal with complex issues, ability to deliver contract scope within fast pace and changing environment.
It’d be great if you’ve got a qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Degree or chartered status in an engineering or construction, physics or other related field.
Project Management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM). Valid CSCS & SMSTS card.
