About the role
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working with children and young people? Are you looking to work as part of a supportive team in a flexible working environment whilst earning HCAS? If so, we have an opportunity for you as a band 6 Occupational Therapist in our CYPIT team based in East Berkshire.
In this role, you will work as part of an integrated team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists across a range of community settings, educational environments and family homes. You will have the independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload, while also contributing to our Enquiries, Advice and Support Service—a new and dynamic element of our offer that continues to receive excellent feedback from staff and service users.
In your role you will be expected to deliver a high standard of occupational therapy care to children and young people with developmental and complex needs, therefore for this role we are looking for someone with a real passion for seeing children and young people reach their potential.
Our core working hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00 but we can offer flexibility around this. The role will involve some travel but also leaves room for some home working.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality assessment and interventions for children and young people with developmental / complex needs
* Function as a specialist autonomous clinician, supporting delivery of the Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapies (CYPIT) model and providing support to more junior staff and students
* Contribute to defined projects and service development initiatives as requested
* Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and provide written therapy plans and reports including contribution to the EHC Assessment process and tribunals as required
* Use needs-led, impact-based clinical decision making, and associated outcome measures
* Provide specialist clinical care including assessment, diagnosis and intervention
