To be successful as a Restaurant Shift / Floor Manager, you should be a great leader and positive team player with previous experience in the restaurant and customer service sectors within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, a strong focus on the customer, and flexibility to work various hours (including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends) are essential.

Key Responsibilities
As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager with responsibilities including:
Customer Service
* Leading by example and prioritizing customer satisfaction.
* Maintaining a customer-focused approach in all restaurant operations.
* Creating accurate staff schedules to meet demand.
* Supporting the team to ensure operational efficiency.
* Conducting regular store walks to monitor customer experience.
People
* Encouraging staff to share suggestions and concerns.
* Providing feedback, setting goals, and supporting team members.
* Fostering a positive team environment that treats all employees with dignity and respect.
* Managing performance issues in collaboration with HR.
Driving Sales
* Understanding sales trends, popular products, and peak times.
* Ensuring products are correctly merchandised and adequately stocked.
* Supporting marketing campaigns and upselling strategies.
* Identifying areas for improvement and motivating staff to enhance performance.
Operations
* Monitoring KPIs such as sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Maintaining composure under pressure and setting an example for the team.
* Managing weekly stock orders and quality checks.
* Scheduling preventative maintenance for equipment.
* Overseeing opening and closing procedures.
* Ensuring cleanliness, food quality, hygiene, and customer experience standards.
* Reporting accidents or incidents promptly to the Regional Manager.
* Working flexible shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
* Previous experience managing restaurants.
* A flexible and disciplined approach to work.
* Experience in a food environment is advantageous but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills.
* High standards of food hygiene and safety.
* Experience handling customer complaints.
* Adherence to health and safety procedures.
