Together we can do great things. Be part of something bigger.

Join the University of Edinburgh and you’ll be making a difference to everything around you. Be part of something bigger – where you’ll do meaningful work, grow and progress, be rewarded and recognised, and benefit from our strong commitment to your wellbeing. There are so many reasons to join us.

The University of Edinburgh is a world-class organisation. We are a large University covering a wide range of activities. In Professional Services, we support the University’s research and teaching, offering many career and role specialisms.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Research Technician to join our research group at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine. Our group works to understand the metabolic regulation of normal and malignant haematopoiesis. If you are passionate about leukaemia research, enjoy working in a collaborative lab environment, and want to contribute to ground-breaking research in tumour metabolism, this could be a great fit.

As part of the Comazzetto's laboratory, you will contribute to lab-based research projects centred around the identification and characterisation of novel metabolite transporters that contribute to B cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia using a range of molecular and cell biology techniques as well as available in vivo models. You’ll work closely with PhD students and other lab members, supporting a wide range of experiments and day-to-day research activity. Your work will directly contribute to ongoing projects in leukaemia research. You’ll enjoy working as part of a team as well as managing your own workload and daily organisation.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
