About the job
As a Neighbourhood Services Support Officer, you will support the delivery of cleansing and enforcement operations and associated tasks throughout the city. You will be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including managing leave and sickness records, processing health and safety information, dealing with customer requests and complaints, and supporting the resourcing of the service. The role involves using a variety of IT systems, maintaining confidential data, and ensuring compliance with Council and statutory requirements.
What We Are Looking For From You
* Good level of education or work experience demonstrating proficiency in IT and correspondence.
* Customer service experience and strong written and oral communication skills.
* IT literate, able to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and quickly learn new systems such as Digigov and Collective.
* Knowledge of domestic and EU driving regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage work schedules and prioritise tasks.
* Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
* Demonstrates a positive attitude to new challenges and a willingness to adapt quickly to change.
* Commitment to the Council’s strategies, policies, and Equal Opportunities Policy.
* Willingness to undertake personal development and further training.
Additional information
* The role is based at Lamby Way Depot, Brindley Road, or Millicent Street, but may require working from any designated Council facility.
* The post is full-time (37 hours per week) and may include working on Good Friday and catch‑up weekends following Christmas and New Year.
