Capgemini Engineering is seeking FE/Stress Engineers with a focus on space systems.
Your Role
As a Structural Analysis Consultant, you will deliver Finite Element studies and analytical stress reports related to Space Systems, including satellite payloads, panels, satellite structural assemblies, equipment, and ground support equipment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Understand and follow the stress analysis workflow as prescribed by the customer, including static, dynamic analysis, acoustics, and specific post-processing tools.
2. Perform Finite Element analysis, including model development, verification/validation, simulation execution, and result post-processing.
3. Conduct analytical stress calculations using established methods and tools.
4. Present and report findings internally and externally.
5. Write detailed technical reports.
6. Collaborate with designers on structural results and design iterations.
7. Maintain communication with clients and represent your work during meetings.
Your Profile
* Degree in engineering or a scientific discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
* Experience in stress engineering within aerospace.
* Proficiency in HYPERWORKS and NASTRAN for FE modeling and analysis.
* Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes is desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet client needs.
* Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
* Team-oriented, capable of working effectively under tight deadlines.
* Proactive with good reporting and communication skills in English.
* Knowledge of FEMAP is a plus.
