Field Installation Technician (3 Days per Week) typically Tuesday through Thursday

About the Role: This is an employed role, but a contractor may also be considered.
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Field Technician to join our team. You will travel throughout the UK installing and servicing our specialist people/cycle and vehicle counting systems for clients that include the Forestry Commission, National Trust, and various National Parks.
Fully expensed vehicle will be provided.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and can operate both independently and as part of a close‑knit team.
Key Responsibilities
* Travel to installation sites across the UK, arriving at agreed times (some early starts, or late finishes may be required, with appropriate compensation).
* Install equipment, including posts and sensor systems, in the great outdoors. (yes, it rains sometimes)
* Upload installation photos and data via our secure portal (training provided).
* Liaise professionally with on‑site client representatives, such as rangers or property managers.
* Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting any issues promptly.
* Uphold company standards for safety, communication, and client satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
* A mature, reliable, and self‑motivated individual.
* Comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays.
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Good communication skills a priority.
* Basic computer literacy (training will be provided).
* Full, clean UK driving license (the vehicle is fully expensed).
* Located within a two‑hour travel of our Wellingborough workshop to support team operations when needed.
* Previous experience working outdoors or in a field‑based technical role.
* Experience traveling distances for work when required.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
