22.5 hours per week – Seven days a week between the hours of 08:00 – 20:00, working a combination of long days and short days.
Responsibilities
* Provide a response to mental health crisis in emergency departments and inpatient wards within one hour, and to all urgent ward referrals within 24 hours.
* Complete a full biopsychosocial assessment and formulation, and contribute to treatment and collaborative care plans.
* Offer brief evidence‑based interventions as inpatient or short‑term outpatient follow‑up.
* Work within Rotherham General Hospital to reduce length of stay on general hospitals and improve follow‑up care.
* Provide advice and support to hospital staff regarding mental health care for their patients.
Qualifications
* Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) with experience with older adults or an interest in working with older adults.
* Strong clinical and risk‑management skills, able to work autonomously.
