Position Overview
As a Leveraged Finance Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients on complex financing transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged and acquisition finance. Working closely with colleagues, senior counsel and partners, you will deliver technically sound advice and commercially driven solutions, contributing to the firm’s continued growth and market-leading finance practice. Responsibilities
* Advise lenders, sponsors, and corporate borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions, including leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated lending, and general corporate lending
* Draft, review, and negotiate key financing documents such as facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and security documentation
* Conduct legal research and analysis to support the delivery of precise, timely, and strategic advice
* Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas and offices to provide clients with cohesive, cross-border support
* Support business development initiatives, including client pitches, proposals, and industry networking
* Stay abreast of market trends and legal developments in the leveraged finance and wider debt markets to ensure cutting-edge client advice
Requirements
* Trainee Solicitor at a leading City or international firm, qualifying in February or March 2026
* Completion of one or more finance seats, with a preference for leveraged finance experience
* Excellent academic record and demonstrated technical legal skills
* Strong analytical, communication, and organisational abilities
