Rate of Pay : £19.29 - £26.65 per hour Summary: The Senior Development Infrastructure Officer plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the delivery of developer-funded and third-party highway infrastructure projects. Working within the Development Engineering team, you will act as the principal point of contact for developers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects secured through Section 106 (S106 ) and Section 278 (S278) legal agreements meet all technical standards and legal obligations. You will oversee the lifecycle of these projects from initial planning consent through to formal adoption by the Council. Responsibilities: Ensure all infrastructure works meet required legal obligations, Council design standards, and construction practices. Act as the central point of contact for developers, designers, and contractors to coordinate technical administration and monitor project progress. Prepare formal documentation to secure necessary financial contributions, bonds, and technical fees from developers Prepare clear technical reports and documentation for various stakeholders. Uphold the Councils values, health and safety commitments, and equality duties in all professional dealings. Qualifications: Degree-level education or equivalent demonstrable knowledge in a relevant field (e.g., Civil Engineering or Planning). Essentials: Demonstrable experience in overseeing new highway infrastructure specifically through S106 and S278 processes Strong technical expertise in highway legislation, national design standards, and modern construction practices. Solid understanding of Health and Safety requirements related to highway construction A full UK driving license.
