Senior Electronics Engineer - High Voltage / PCB Design / AltiumLocation: Bolton (Fully Onsite)Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer looking to work on high-voltage product design, hands-on testing, and long-lifecycle engineering projects?
This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing tech company that designs and manufactures high-reliability electronic products used across global urban and industrial environments.
You'll be part of a close-knit engineering team and take full ownership of new product design, testing, production support, and continuous improvement, with full lifecycle involvement from concept to launch and beyond.
Role Overview:
* 50% electronics design (schematics, PCB layout, BOM creation using Altium)
* 50% testing and support - build test rigs, run evaluations, fault-finding, and production support
* Lead electronic input on a new high-voltage product architecture launching over the next 24 months
* Work closely with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, operations)
* Conduct lab-based thermal, vibration, and pre-EMC testing
* Liaise with suppliers and troubleshoot live manufacturing issues
* Ensure documentation and compliance with ISO9001 and ERP systems
What We're Looking For:
* 5+ years' experience in electronic circuit design and PCB development
* Confident using Altium Designer
* Experience with mains-powered and high-voltage systems
* Knowledge of communication protocols such as CANBus, I2C, SPI
* Understanding of LCD display integration and embedded control systems
* Background in automotive, aerospace, or defence sectors preferred
* Familiarity with fuse protection, ERC, and electrical installation is a plus
