The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical excellence and managerial leadership for Community within Kingston & Richmond Maternity Services. To provide women and babies with a high quality, safe midwifery care, throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. The post holder will be a highly visible champion of midwifery lead care through demonstration of excellent clinical knowledge and practice. To provide women and babies with a high quality, safe midwifery care in a variety of practice settings, throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. The care will be evidenced based and holistic in meeting women’s individual needs and the midwife will be expected to work autonomously within the guidelines and sphere of professional practice. Act as a mentor and or preceptor as required. To act as a leader and effective role model, providing essential managerial support in complex and sensitive situations.
