Maintenance Engineer – Tamworth SiteSalary: £42,000 - £45,857 per year
Hours: Weekend Nights (Friday–Sunday, finishing Monday morning)
Shift Pattern: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (36 hours per week, 33 after break deduction)
Initial Training: Role will start on day shifts (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) for an agreed training period before moving to the night rota. Day shifts will be paid at the standard rate.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our expanding team at our Tamworth site. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a business that is investing heavily in its people, facilities, and technology.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment for PCB manufacturing lines, including chemical etching, plating, and lamination systems. The role involves a mix of reactive and planned maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Respond quickly to plant breakdowns and ensure root causes are identified and resolved.
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance autonomously and collaboratively.
Communicate effectively with operations teams to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records using the Frontline Maintenance Management system.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company SHE policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and root cause analysis.
Liaise with suppliers for spare parts and equipment as required.What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Minimum City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical Engineering (ONC preferred).
Experience: At least 3 years as a Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of safe systems of work (permit to work, risk assessments, method statements).
Experience with planned/preventative maintenance techniques.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (Frontline preferred).
HSE training and understanding of relevant legislation.Benefits
