Position Details
The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
We are seeking a Band 3 Recovery Peer Support Worker to join the East Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. The successful candidate will have lived experience of substance use and recovery, which they will use to inspire confidence and hope in our service users, demonstrating that recovery is achievable.
The post holder will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, leveraging their lived experience and knowledge to support individuals in their recovery journey.
Adding peer support workers to the alcohol and drugs workforce in East Renfrewshire aligns with our broader strategy to prioritize lived experience in service delivery.
With strong listening skills and an understanding of factors that can aid or hinder recovery, the post holder will use their personal experience to help others achieve their unique recovery goals. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with healthcare professionals, access leadership and support, and engage in various learning and development activities to enhance effectiveness and personal growth.
