Plant Manager Based Surrey Salary to £80k package An established and fast-growing reinforced concrete frame contractor based in Surrey is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to take full ownership of plant operations across multiple live construction projects. As Plant Manager you will be responsible for the effective management, control, and optimisation of all plant, machinery, and equipment across the business. The role requires strong commercial awareness, operational oversight, and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure efficiency, compliance, and cost control. You will oversee procurement, allocation, maintenance, and logistics of plant and equipment Manage plant yard operations and transport coordination Monitor utilisation rates and drive cost efficiencies Negotiate with suppliers and manage hire agreements Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and LOLER/PUWER standards Maintain accurate plant records, servicing schedules, and certifications Lead and develop yard and plant personnel Work closely with project managers and commercial teams to forecast plant requirements Experience: Proven experience in plant management within RC frame, groundworks, or heavy civils Strong knowledge of construction plant and transport logistics Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and supplier relationships Excellent organisational and leadership skills Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-driven This is an excellent opportunity for a driven Plant Manager looking to take ownership of a critical function within a forward-thinking RC frame specialist.
