Senior Arable Operator
Senior Arable Operator - Doncaster - £15,00–£22 .00 PH
The Job:
A great opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, family-run arable farm. The business operates across approximately 1800 acres of arable land and is looking to strengthen the team with a reliable, hands-on individual.
This is a varied role offering involvement in day-to-day arable operations, machinery work, and general farm duties, with the potential for long-term development.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day support across a 400-acre arable farm
- Operating machinery including tractors, sprayers, combines, and cultivation equipment
- Carrying out spraying operations in line with best practice
- Supporting drilling, spraying, and harvest activities
- Hedge cutting, fencing, and general farm maintenance
- Assisting with crop production (including wheat and barley)
- General upkeep of buildings, yard, and farm infrastructure
- Working closely with the owner as part of a small team
The Candidate:
- Proven experience within arable farming
- Confident operating tractors and modern farm machinery
- PA1 & PA2 spraying certificates essential
- Strong practical skills and good mechanical awareness
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, hands-on, and a good team player
- Ideally local or willing to relocate
The Package:
- £15–£22 per hour depending on experience
- Full-time role (approx. 39+ hours per week) with overtime available
- Accommodation allowance if needed.

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
