HR Assistant (Part-Time – 4 Days per Week)

We are a well‑established professional services business looking for an HR Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This varied, hands‑on role sits inside a small HR function and is perfect for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy team, engaging with the full employee lifecycle, and building strong relationships across the business.


Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures
* Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including contracts, references and inductions
* Assist with recruitment coordination and general HR administration
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance
* Support performance review and appraisal processes
* Liaise with payroll providers and assist with payroll‑related queries
* Contribute to HR projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives


Qualifications

* Previous HR experience in a busy environment
* Good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator who can build relationships at all levels
* Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office/SharePoint
