Saïd Business School is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Academic Events Officer to join our dynamic Faculty Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a wide range of high-impact academic events that support world-leading research and foster meaningful collaboration across the global academic community.
Working closely with the Academic Events Manager, this role involves delivering flagship conferences, workshops, research seminars and more. You'll be responsible for end-to-end event delivery, managing budgets, stakeholder engagement and mentoring junior team members. Your work will directly contribute to the School’s strategic objectives, promoting Oxford Saïd’s reputation for excellence.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead the organisation and delivery of high-profile academic events, both in-person and virtual.
* Collaborate with senior faculty and research centres to develop engaging event programmes.
* Manage event budgets, logistics, supplier coordination and reporting.
* Provide mentorship and first-line support to the Events Coordinator.
* Coordinate marketing and communication efforts for events.
You will have a strong track record of planning and delivering high-profile events with exceptional attention to detail. You will be highly organised, self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities. The role requires strong project management abilities, a collaborative working style and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior academic and professional staff.
