Avondale Foods is a leading food processing company of Fresh and Chilled products supplying leading retail businesses such as Marks & Spencer and Morrisons and Waitrose in the UK. This role will focus on managing the receipt of purchase orders into our computerised stock system. Strong computer skills are essential. Responsibilities include coordinating with delivery drivers regarding paperwork, developing and maintaining a delivery schedule and providing feedback to the purchasing team on any failed deliveries. The role also involves printing orders for the picking team and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities Accurately receiving stock into the computerised warehouse management system Generating and reviewing reports on open purchase orders Coordinating and maintaining an efficient delivery schedule Communicating effectively with hauliers and internal stakeholders, including the purchasing team Printing and distributing orders for the picking teams Supporting day-to-day stock control and inventory management Work closely with procurement, warehouse, finance and operations teams to align supply chain activities. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining thorough documentation Support initiatives aimed at improving supply chain efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. Ensure Food Safety compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to remain audit-ready at all times. Contribute to the development of a culture of Integrity, collaboration do the right thing approach in all interactions.
