Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEND Support (Mainstream School)

Pay: £90 to £95 per day

Looking for a role where you can support pupils who need a bit of extra help to thrive in the classroom?
We’re working with a friendly mainstream school in Sutton that’s looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Autism and SEMH. You’ll be part of a supportive team and play a key role in helping children feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.
This role could be a great fit if you:
1. Have experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting
2. Or you’re a graduate in English, Maths or Science keen to start a career in education or SEND
3. Are patient, calm, and confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
4. Enjoy building strong relationships with pupils and staff
What you’ll be doing:
5. Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within a mainstream classroom
6. Helping children stay engaged and access the curriculum
7. Supporting social skills, routines, and emotional wellbeing
8. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
What you’ll need:
9. A DBS on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one
10. A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine interest in SEND
11. Reliability, consistency, and a caring approach
