This role is an opportunity to lead the strategic planning and tactical delivery of PR campaigns, including team management and skills development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create and lead the delivery of strategic PR campaigns, crossing various communication channels, providing clients with creative and dynamic ideas aligned to their challenges.
2. Work alongside the Client Services team to understand and address client requests effectively.
3. Support clients with communications advice across mediums such as written content, podcasts, webcasts, town halls, and videos.
4. Proactively develop and pitch creative campaign concepts to clients.
5. Plan ahead with the ability to respond reactively to the news cycle.
6. Utilize technology to source opportunities, measure campaign effectiveness, and recommend next steps.
7. Represent Fifth Ring and our clients with media internationally, building relationships with key outlets and stakeholders.
8. Lead the Emergency Response team and fulfill ER responsibilities after training.
9. Contribute to pitching for new projects and clients, including proposals and presentations.
10. Lead the development and delivery of new products and technological advancements.
11. Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
12. Collaborate internally to market Fifth Ring to new clients.
13. Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of scheduled work.
14. Work collaboratively with global colleagues across disciplines.
15. Represent Fifth Ring externally at a senior level.
16. Adhere to Fifth Ring’s processes and procedures at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience in a PR role, including strategic campaign planning, media relations, and crisis communications.
* Effective writing and presentation skills.
* Senior-level influencing skills.
* Proficiency in IT.
* Experience in developing and delivering pitches.
* Agency and client-facing experience.
* An understanding of B2B marketing and communications.
* Knowledge and experience of the oil and gas industry.
* Understanding of the digital landscape.
