Responsibilities
* Teach children to build self-esteem and accept themselves, helping their journey into adulthood.
* Use life skills to make a positive difference in children’s lives by forming positive relationships, meeting their needs, and safeguarding them at all times.
* Engage with a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
* In this leadership role, supervise staff, lead shifts, manage policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, and ensure placement plans are followed with education supported.
* Ensure the welfare and care of each child and provide guidance and support to all residential workers.
Qualifications
* Age 22 years or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People Workforce.
* At least 2 years of experience within residential childcare and working with young people.
* Valid manual driving licence.
Benefits and Progression
* £50 per sleep-in.
* Passport to Manage training to gain Level 5 for management progression.
* Bonus for Ofsted outcomes: £100 for achieving a ‘Good’ outcome; £200 for ‘Outstanding’.
* Service awards: £200 (2 years), £400 (5 years), £600 (10 years); up to £500 for outstanding practice.
* Holiday allowance: 224 hours, increasing to 248 hours after 4 years.
