Overview
You will be responsible for accurately supporting and checking of mechanical medical devices (e.g., patient trolleys, medical gas appliances and related low-level equipment) with a view for development. There will also be a need to utilise electronics knowledge. Full training and support will be given.
Role and Department
EBME/Clinical Engineering Multidisciplinary Technician – Band 5. Full Time, Permanent.
Responsibilities
* Support and check mechanical medical devices and related equipment.
* Contribute to generic solutions of medical device management in accordance with the Medical Device Management Standard 2015.
* Deliver maintenance and day-to-day support across Croydon University Hospital and affiliated sites, with the aim of providing efficient and safe service to patients and stakeholders.
* Engage in activities that involve indirect working with patients.
Requirements and Qualifications
The post holder is expected to deliver a high standard of work relating to EBME across multiple sites. Training and support will be provided. Previous applicant notes may apply as per the advert.
Working Hours
Department opening hours are currently Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:30, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
