Job Title: Locum Phlebotomist

Duration: Ongoing
Working Hours: 2-3 days per week
Salary: £16 per hour
We are currently looking for an experienced Locum Phlebotomist to join a well-established GP Surgery in Taunton, for 1-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients.
* Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of blood specimens, adhering to quality -standards.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to coordinate and prioritize phlebotomy services.
* Utilize the Emis Web system for patient record management and documentation.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
* Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing any concerns or questions related to phlebotomy procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Phlebotomist, preferably within a GP Surgery setting.
* Competency in using the Emis Web system for patient record management.
* Certification in Phlebotomy and relevant qualifications.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of infection control practices and compliance with health and safety regulations.
