Job Description Equifind are working alongside a highly reputable asset manager who are looking for a Fund Controller to join their finance team. The business is based near Oxford Street and focuses on financing, acquiring and managing many companies, assets and more (within production, media and TV) in order to achieve their success, with some well known names within the group. With the launch of the fund this is a strategic move you will have huge involvement with US investors, frameworks, fund structures, valuations, compliance, investor operations and performance reporting for the group whilst reporting into the CFO. As the company grows and evolves you’ll also have the opportunity to develop a team down the line, support in further fundraising and help drive the business through strategic fund work. Reporting line: CFO Role & Purpose: Arrival of role due to fundraising and strategic deployment of the fund Act as primary interface to the group, fund administrators, external advisors, investors and internal/external finance teams Crucial pivot point in fundraising, fund structures and overall fund set-up which you will be crucial in operating Description: Fund Accounting & Reporting Provide all aspects of accounting and reporting for the Jersey fund and associated holding entities Act as primary liaison with the external fund administrator Review and approve NAV calculations, capital accounts, and investor reporting Review fund financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flows, and changes in capital Ensure reporting complies with fund documentation, offering materials, and investor agreements Oversee consolidation of underlying operating entities into fund reporting Coordinate valuation processes with internal analysts and external advisors Review management fees, expenses, and allocations U.S. Investor & SEC-Related Compliance Oversight Ensure financial reporting and controls meet the governance and disclosure standards expected by U.S. institutional investors Support compliance with SEC-related reporting, record-keeping, and documentation requirements where applicable Coordinate with external legal and compliance advisors on U.S. regulatory matters Support preparation and review of investor disclosures and regulatory-related reporting Maintain audit trails and documentation to support regulatory and investor reviews Assist with responses to regulatory, investor, and due diligence enquiries Administrator & Service Provider Management Manage the relationship with the fund administrator and monitor service delivery Establish and maintain reporting timetables and quality standards Review administrator outputs for technical accuracy and regulatory alignment Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel Lead fund-level audit processes Capital Activity & Investor Operations Oversee capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations Review investor capital account statements and notices Support investor onboarding and closing processes Respond to investor financial queries in coordination with management Internal Coordination & Performance Reporting Work closely with internal analyst teams on fund performance, forecasting, and valuations Coordinate with Group accounting teams on underlying entity reporting Ensure accurate and timely data flow between operating companies and fund structures Support financial modelling and portfolio analysis Systems, Controls & Governance Design and implement robust fund finance processes and controls Strengthen documentation, policies, and procedures Improve automation and data integrity Support system implementation and optimisation
