Overview
We are looking for either a recent graduate or an experienced teacher seeking a move to a renowned department in a centre of excellence. Experience of traditional workshop skills and CAD/CAM are an advantage, as is knowledge of other areas within the subject, such as electronics and robotics; however, those without such experience are still encouraged to apply as enthusiasm and ability are as important for this post as experience.
The department enjoys state-of-the-art facilities in a purpose-built Design Centre and a generous budget that facilitates ambitious and engaging projects at the forefront of Design, Engineering & Technology education nationally.
A supportive SLT and a prominent position in the school demonstrate the high regard the subject is held in across our school community. The successful candidate should have the ability to inspire both staff and pupils, whilst also being approachable, compassionate, and caring. Good communication and the ability to work within and lead a team will be essential.
Closing date for applications: Thursday 2nd October 2025, 9am. First round online interviews on Monday 6th October 2025. Second round interviews in school on Thursday 9th October 2025.
