JOB TITLE: Academy Lead Coach (U7-12)
LOCATION: Cobham Training Ground
The Opportunity
A great opportunity to join the Academy at Chelsea. As a Lead coach you will be responsible for the, on-pitch and off-pitch, coaching delivery of the Academy Blueprint, to a single age group, within the Blue Foundation Phase. You will be responsible for maximising the development of our young players to reach their full potential in line with the Chelsea Coaching Methodology (4C’s).
Beyond the pitch, you will set standards of respect and discipline for players, ensuring these are constantly met and evolved as they develop.
Key Responsibilities
* Coaching - ensure the effective coaching delivery of the Academy Blueprint to maximise player potential, whilst efficiently overseeing various processes tailored to manage talent across our age groups.
* Tracking Performance and Feedback - utilising our performance systems, manage & track player and team progress. Ensure that age-appropriate feedback is delivered in-line with our player review cycle.
* Personal Development - engage in professional and personal development initiatives by working with coach development staff.
* Character - display high standards of conduct and behaviours in-line with our football club values and policies, to create a safe and positive environment for all.
What you will bring to the role
* UEFA B License
* FA Advanced Youth Award (or working towards)
* Valid driving license
* Enhanced DBS check
* Coaching experience within the relevant age groups in an Academy or an alternative elite coaching environment.
* Ability to effectively manage player, parent, and staff relationships.
* Prepared to work unsociable hours including evenings and weekends.
* IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Prepared to travel on tours in the UK & Europe.
