Premiere Personnel are currently recruiting for several Electrical Maintenance Technicians to work at one of our prestigious engineering clients based in the S9 area of Sheffield. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will work both independently and within our site Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance across the site. Hours: 06:00 - 13:30 Monday to Friday 11:00 - 19:30 Monday to Friday (17:30 finish Friday) The current schedule is 2 weeks of days and 1 week of afters. However, some flexibility is required due to the nature of the business and some overtime and weekend work may be required. Pay: £17.20 p/h £25 per week shift bonus on days £50 per week shift bonus on afters Overtime: £20.20 p/h in the week £21.20 p/h Saturday £22.20 p/h Sunday Duties: Respond immediately to breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe and timely manner. Complete a daily written report on work carried out, spares stock levels, PPMs etc. Monitor spares, identify when stock levels are low. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and HSE checks. Work on continuous improvement and project work to increase plant reliability, energy savings and cost reductions. Requirements: Be reliable and trustworthy. Demonstrate sound general knowledge of, and comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and other legislation. Have completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship. Have at least 3 years previous experience as a Maintenance technician within an industrial environment. Be proficient in using their own initiative to identify electrical faults and carry out repairs on complex electrical systems. Be capable of carrying out electrical installations including cabling and power supplies. Be physically fit / healthy. Be able to work well and communicate with others. Be comfortable working at height using either access equipment or climbing ladders to fixed working platforms. Demonstrate good organisational skills, including workload and time management. Be proficient in reading electrical drawings and documents. Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Electrical / Maintenance Engineering. Be proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters. Machines working on will include, but not limited to: Sand Mixers - Overhead Cranes - Shotblast Machines - Welding Equipment - Grinding, burning & Fettling Equipment - Shell & sand Moulding Equipment - Induction melting furnaces - Gas fired heat treatment furnaces - Sand Reclamation Plants - Boilerclaves, humidifiers, compressors & chillers - AC motors, including Variable speed drives - PLC controls, thermocouples and process controllers.
