Role Overview
The Project Manager will support and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of front-end development activities for complex infrastructure projects.
The role focuses on ensuring early-stage project development is structured, evidence-based, and aligned with business objectives, enabling successful transition into design and delivery phases.
Key Responsibilities
Front-End Project Delivery
* Support the development of project scopes, option appraisals, studies, and business case evidence
* Coordinate technical, commercial, and stakeholder inputs to achieve a coherent and delivery-ready project definition
* Maintain project plans, progress reports, risk registers, and action trackers throughout the front-end lifecycle
Stakeholder Engagement
* Support the organisation and facilitation of internal and external stakeholder meetings and workshops
* Capture and document stakeholder requirements, decisions, and agreed actions, ensuring traceability and alignment
Governance & Reporting
* Prepare inputs for governance boards, investment reviews, and steering groups
* Support compliance with organisational and government assurance processes
Commercial & Contract Management
* Act as Project Manager / Service Manager under NEC4 contracts
* Manage change, commercial performance, and contractor relationships
Essential Skills & Experience
* Hands-on background in consultancy and/or construction
* Experience delivering infrastructure works, ideally within a marine or complex environment
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to understand cost, value, and challenge contractor estimates
* Proven experience managing delivery under NEC4 contracts, including change control and stakeholder management
* Strong IT skills and confidence working with project controls and reporting tools
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience working in complex or regulated environments, with an understanding of due process
* Experience operating in collaborative, multi-disciplinary delivery teams
* Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities
* Knowledge of Primavera P6
* Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management systems
