Title: Chief Executive Officer | Experienced Strategic Communications and Marketing Leader
Location: Home-based with travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Contract: Fixed-term, until 31st March 2026 with potential for extension.
Commitment: Up to 27 days between start date and 31st March 2026, with a flexible working pattern.
Pay: £230-£250 per day

If you’re passionate about helping care providers strengthen their data protection practices and want to make a tangible difference to how care services manage information, this role could be a perfect fit for you.
As part of our team, you’ll play a key role in supporting local providers to meet Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) standards, guiding them through drop-in sessions and hands-on support.
You’ll track provider engagement and progress, respond to DSPT queries, and help services embed good governance and assurance practices. In addition, you’ll lead a series of DSPT Health Checks, attending care providers\' sites to conduct face-to-face reviews, preparing practical recommendations, and supporting providers to achieve compliance and confidence in data handling.
This is a varied, flexible and rewarding role for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with meaningful sector impact.
Deliverables
* DSPT Health Checks (12 days, confirmed in contract)
* Conduct preliminary reviews of provider information
* Deliver 6 face-to-face DSPT Health Checks on care provider sites, each Health Check will be completed over 2 days
* Day one on-site with a provider; day two spent preparing reports and recommendations
* Providing practical guidance to help providers achieve DSPT standards
* Maintaining accurate and confidential records of assessments
DSPT Compliance Checks and Support
* (15 days, flexible in the contract)
* Organising and attending virtual or in-person DSPT compliance meetings with care providers
* Supporting promotional activities to drive up engagement with the DSPT programme
About you
You’ll bring a blend of technical understanding, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. You’ll be proactive and confident engaging with a range of providers and comfortable managing both administrative and analytical aspects of your work.
Requirements
Essential:
* Experience delivering audits, reviews, or compliance checks
* Experience in corporate governance
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills
* Experience managing data, reports, and project records
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexibly
* Confident communication and relationship-building abilities
Desirable:
* Understanding of DSPT requirements and data security in health and social care
* Experience supporting organisations with governance, quality assurance, or compliance frameworks
First Stage Interview with DSPT Project Manager (online): Monday 17th November
Second Stage Interview with DSPT Project Manager and CEO (online): Thursday 27th November
