A Snapshot of Your Day
As an MRP Controller within Siemens Energy’s Gas Turbine business in Lincoln, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are delivered on time to support the master production plan. Your day will involve creating and maintaining delivery plans, responding to changes in demand, and working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage risks, inventory, and delivery performance. You’ll use SAP and standard planning processes to provide clear visibility of supply chain commitments and support business and customer requirements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Create, maintain, and communicate detailed delivery plans to support the master production plan.
2. Respond to changes in demand by assessing and communicating impacts to customer and business commitments through the Sales & Operations Planning process.
3. Maintain accurate master and dynamic planning data to ensure effective demand cascade through the supply chain.
4. Plan and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is available at the right time and used in the correct order.
5. Ensure supplier delivery commitments are accurately reflected in SAP and manage schedule adherence through exception management.
6. Act as the primary operational interface with suppliers, managing planning, delivery, lead time, and improvement activities.
7. Lead supplier business reviews, focusing on Quality, Cost, and Delivery performance, supported by cross-functional teams as required.
8. Identify, manage, and escalate delivery risks, shortages, and recovery plans to protect customer and production commitments.
9. Assess supplier load and capacity constraints and manage impacts on delivery performance.
What You Bring
10. Experience in engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain planning.
11. Working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
12. Strong understanding of quality systems and supply chain processes.
13. Good working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system.
14. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage suppliers and internal stakeholders.
15. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
16. Ability to take ownership of your development and work effectively within a team environment.
