CLASS 1 DRIVER - TRAMPING
MONDAY - FRIDAY (OCCASIONAL SATURDAYS)
START TIMES VARY BUT USUALLY 06:00
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our well-established client based in the Haydock area of St Helens.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known logistics company with plenty of ongoing work available.

Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Operate and drive various Category CE vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly, all vehicles are curtain siders so curtain experience is essential
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK CE Driving Licence
* Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving a CE vehicles
* No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
* Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
* Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English
* Experience operating various trailer types
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
* Tramping experience preferred
Training
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
