Shift hours: 5-17:30 Monday-Saturday, 6-17:30 Sunday.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Greggs Bakery Assistant. As a Bakery Assistant at Greggs SPAR Shawbirch, you will support our store management team and create a positive customer experience. Your role includes maximising sales and profit by completing assigned tasks, contributing to store improvement, and ensuring excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later, and Food for now!’
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Greet customers warmly and professionally.
* Assist customers with product inquiries and finding items.
* Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the tills, maintaining friendly service.
* Upsell products and promote multi-buy offers to maximise sales at the Shawbirch Greggs store.
Store Operations:
* Manage stock: check deliveries, stock shelves, maintain cleanliness, and rotate stock for freshness and expiry management.
* Complete tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checks, price updates, promotional displays, and other duties as assigned.
* Follow all company policies, procedures, and processes.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
* Previous experience in a similar retail role is preferred.
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
* Understanding of retail legislative responsibilities and compliance skills.
* Contribute ideas for exceptional customer service and business growth.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
* Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
* Cash handling experience is advantageous but not essential.
